Luther C. Buckland, 70, died at Gardner Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock. He was the son of the late Joseph and Nancy Buckland of Hinton.
Survivors include his widow, and the following sons and daughters, Mrs. Hunter Topping, Mrs. Frank Watson, Mrs. Billie Richardson and Wiley Buckland of Buckroe Beach, Va., and Roy Buckland of Belle Springs, Va.; one brother, Joseph of Hinton and a sister, Mrs. Lyda Pursinger, also of Hinton.
Pending completion of funeral arrangements, the body will remain at Memorial Funeral Directory chapel.

LUTHER BUCKLAND
Funeral service for Luther Buckland, former minister, who died Wednesday morning, will be conducted this afternoon at Parrott, Va., at the Church of God.
The body will remain at the Memorial Funeral Directory chapel at Princeton until 9:30 o'clock this morning, when it will be taken by motorcade to Bell Springs, Va. There, it will remain at the home of his son, Roy L. Buckland, until shortly before 3 o'clock, when it will be moved to the Church of God at Parrott.
Service will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Day, pastor of the church and interment will be in the Sifford cemetery at Parrott.
Mr. Buckland died at Gardner. He was born at Hinton on November 16, 1877, and is survived by his wife, one brother, one sister and five children. Fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
