The Angel of Death laid his icy cold hand on the brow of Geo. Pendleton and bade him come, and George obeyed the summons.
He had been at work on Tuesday and in the evening sat down and read as peacefully as he usually did and retired for the night in as apparently good health as his robust constitution had ever enjoyed. About 4 a.m. Mrs Pendleton got out of bed to get food for one of the boys, and he watched her without making any remark about himself. Then about five o'clock she awoke to find her husband in death's grip, on the verge of unconsciousness. She ran to the neighbors for help but within ten minutes he had passed peacefully away.
He leaves his young wife and two boys (one 4 years and the other 2 years old) and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
His was the life we all love; Quiet, kind, dignified, honest, and lovable, blessed with a deeply religious nature he fulfilled every call made of him.
He was 36 years old and was born in Payson, Utah. When about seven years old his parents moved to Fruita Wayne County Utah. about seven years ago he moved to Star Valley and married Miss Rose Moser, and they have since made their home in Bedford except for a period of about two years which they spent near his old home.
The funeral will most likely be held Sunday and his brother from Eureka, Utah is expected in.
