Levi Abram Amrine, 31 of Fairfield, died Friday , June 5,2015 at U of I hospital clinics.
According to his wishes the body will be cremated after the service.
Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 11, 2015 at the Fairfield Arts and Convention Center, with Pastor Ryan Dexter officiating with military rites held after the service. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. -7:00p.m. , Wednesday June 10, 2015 at Behner Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be sent to Kris Amrine at 1524 Yarrow Boulevard Brighton, IA 52540.
Levi was born December 23, 1983 in Mt. Pleasant, IA to Kris Amrine and Anita White.
Levi served with the Iowa National Guard and was deployed to Iraq in 2005 and again in 2008. Levi graduated from Fairfield High School in 2002; he was very active in wrestling and football. Levi worked at Fairfield Park and Rec as Park Maintenance for the last 3 years. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, riding his motorcycle, hunting and his cattle. He especially loved his kittens. While living on the family farm his main desire was to raise his family there and continue farming.
Levi is survived by his parents Kris (Marge Gast) Amrine of Brighton, IA, Anita (Jeff) Tisor of Washington, IA. His Fiancé Melanie Plate of Fairfield, IA; One brother Nicholas Amrine of Iowa City, IA ; One step brother Karl Tisor of Washington, IA and One step sister Abbey Tisor of Washington, IA. One Grand Parent Marcelline Messer of Mt. Pleasant, IA; and numerous Aunts and Uncles.
He was preceded in death by many grandparents.
