Mr. Schwartz was a native of Hillsboro, IL and born October 07, 1910, a son of Guy Walter Schwartz and Idola Mae Edwards. He had lived in Modesto, CA for 33 years. He retired as an instructor at Gallo Class. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ancient Egyptian Order of Sciots #15 and Accepted Masons in Milton Elks Lodge and Old Fisherman's Club.
Survivors are his wife, Pauline Ruth (Christian) Schwartz of Modesto; two children, Kay Bowers and Shirley Shoemaker both of Modesto. Two sisters, including Ruth Foster of Modesto. He had five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
