Chandler, AZ - Memorial services for former Franklin Community resident Mrs. Laska Lee Anderson Bass, 82 of Chandler were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12 in Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery.
Mrs. Bass died Saturday, Feb 5, in Phoenix.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard Bass, 2 daughters, Diane Bass and Shelly Bass Bass, a brother, Kern Anderson, Winnsboro, TX, and 2 granddaughters.
Mrs Bass was born in the Hopewell Community of Franklin County (TX) on Dec 2, 1922 to Tom and Ethel Tedder Anderson. A 1939 Winnsboro High School graduate, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. In 1941 she married Richard Bass of the Perryville (TX) community. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Billy Don Anderson and Jim Ben Anderson, 4 sisters, Ercel Ponder, Valerie Morris, Lou Rhea and Mary Kate Falger.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed the many cities and countries in which she lived during her husband's U.S. Air Force career.
