Larry Hugh Brantley was born in Canal Pt., Florida on October 13, 1943 to the late Thomas F. and Bronnie Brantley. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Southeast Paper Manufacturing, Co. after many years of dedicated service. Mr. Brantley was a member of Poplar Springs North Baptist Church and the Emmanuel Sunday School Class.  Larry passed away at Serenity Place surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brantley was preceded in death by his daughters, Melanie Brantley and Marla Brantley, and a brother, Rex Brantley.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joan G. Brantley; brother, Frank Brantley; sisters, Ann Edwards, Frances Harden, and Coma McKinnon. He is also survived by his Exchange Student Families: “Diane” and Dr. Sebastian Kleebank, Nele and Ben Kleebank, of Würselen, Germany; “Priscila Peron Costa and Rodrigo Costa, of Mainz, Germany; “Raquel” Paoliello Pantaleao and Tiago Pantaleao, Pedro and Nina Pantaleao, of Uberaba, Brazil; and Drs. “Rogerio” and Livia Peron, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, private graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Dublin Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or oSerenity Hospice.
