Ira Thomas Taylor was born in Delaware County, Iowa, on June 2, 1869, and was 42 years, 9 months, 16 days of age. He came to Ida County, Iowa, with his parents when quite young and lived there until his marriage to Edna Ward on March 24, 1893. To this union were born four children, one child dying in infancy and the other three, Ward, Harl, and Roy surviving to mourn the loss of as good a father as ever lived.
Mrs. Taylor died Feb. 22, 1904, leaving her husband with the care of the 3 children.
Survivors include the 3 children of Ward, Harl, and Roy; 4 brothers and 2 sisters, William, Amos, Walter, and James; Mrs. Margaret Sellers and Lucinda Sutton.
The funeral was held at Arthur and the Masons at Odebolt and Arthur.
