Silent Film Actress. She moved from her native Nebraska to San Diego, California in 1912. At age 20 she was offered work as a "fill" in the 1914 film "Trey of Hearts" by director Wilfred Van Norman Lucas while filming in San Diego. Her performance prompted filmmakers to offer her work as an occasional extra if she would move to Los Angeles, where she caught the attention of director Sydney Ayres. In 1916 she co-starred with George Walsh in her first Fox film feature, "Blue Blood and Red," a western comedy-drama directed by Raoul Walsh. Her natural acting ability and personal charm led to various roles with Fox, Universal, Goldwyn and Paramount Studios appearing in 21 films from 1917 to 1923. Her final films were "Fools and Riches," "The Hero" and "The Buster" all released in 1923. On March 15, 1917 she was married to film director Rex Ingram, the marriage ended in divorce in 1920. Following her marriage to Paul E. Reiners in 1928, which also ended in divorce, she married Samuel W. Dunaway in 1937 and they remained married until his death in 1969.
