AGED CHAUNCEY WOMAN DIED WEDNESDAY P.M.
Mrs. Narcissus Jane Gaddy, one of Dodge County’s oldest residents, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. O. F. Collum, in Chauncey Wednesday afternoon. She was born in Houston County March 17, 1852, and had she lived until next month would have been 85 years old. She had been a resident of Chauncey many years. Her father was the late Bennett Barfield, prominent pioneer citizen of Houston County.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence in Chauncey this afternoon by Rev. L. B. McMichael and Rev. O. A. Grant. A solo will be rendered by Miss Susie McMichael with Miss Dorris Hall at the piano. Frank M. Holland, W. B. Bussey, John Donaldson, Claud Harrell, Ralph and Cas Kelly, Raymond Jones and D. B. Phillips will serve as pallbearers. Interment will take place in Chauncey Cemetery.
Mrs. Gaddy is survived by one son, Emmett B. Gaddy of Fresno, Calif., and two daughters, Mrs. Julia P. Montford of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. O. F. Collum of Chauncey.
