Lena Edna Leschper, 81, of Sealy, passed away with family by her side on May 18, 2020. She was born on October 30, 1938 in LaGrange to Alvin and Lena Behrens.

Edna married Lewis Cypher Sr. on November 9, 1956. He passed away in a boating accident on June 7, 1968. On December 6, 1969, she married Adolph Leschper. Together they created a life in Sealy and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last December.

Edna worked as a waitress most of her early years, before becoming a seamstress at Sealy Mattress. In the early 80s, she began work at the Countryside Motel, and she was promoted to manager. She finished her working years as a manager of Best Western Inn of Sealy when she retired in 2001.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Adolph; her children, daughter, Betty Lutz, daughter, Mary Rosselli, daughter, Bonnie Reames and husband, Derral Reames, and son, Lewis Cypher, Jr., all of Sealy; brother, Monroe Behrens and wife, Betty Behrens, sister, Mildred Busha, sister, Dorothy Witt and husband, Dale Witt, all of La Grange; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; her parents; brothers, Alvin Behrens Jr, Louie Behrens, Lee Behrens; and sister, Gladys Simek; granddaughter Jessica Hills; daughter, Deborah Guerrero; and daughter, Helen Rother.

Edna enjoyed playing dominoes with family, putting together puzzles, watching her stories(soap operas), and Hallmark movies and spending time with her family. She was an amazing wife, mother, and granny to all her grandkids. She will always be remembered for her big, bright pink lipstick smile, her strong will, and her giving, loving heart. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and friends.

A family service was held Saturday, May 23, 2020 officiated by Pastor Ken Bersche at Trinity Lutheran Church of Sealy. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery.
