Dorothy M. Deacock Allen, 91, of Pensacola, FL was born on July 13, 1928 in London, England and passed away on May 5, 2020.
Dottie lived an active life, enjoying her work at Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, traveling, and parasailing up to age 90. She loved her native country, England, and spending many days with her English friends living in Pensacola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Allen, USN (ret), of LaFayette, Alabama and her brother, Gordon N. Deacock of England.
She is survived by her children, Susan E. Blanc of Pensacola, Florida, and S. Wayne Allen (Lisa) of Newton North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Muriel C. Miller (Sandy) and family of Mornington, Australia, and nieces, and nephews in Australia, England, and Alabama.
Precious to her were her niece Carolyn Deacock and her daughter Katie; Godchildren, Brittany (Vrana) Pieper, Natasha (Vrana) Tidwell, and Dustin Vrana and their families. The Vrana Family (Steve and Vickie) were Dottie's second family and filled her life with love and laughter.
A remembrance Memorial will be planned in July. In lieu of flowers donations can be contributed to: Ascension Sacred Heart Foundation, (Childrens), Salvation Army Pensacola, Hotel for Dogs or Cats Rescues and Adoptions, all in memory of Dorothy M. Allen.
