I came across some burial records of Mrs. Warren D. Miller of the DAR back in 1942, here is what she noted for Mary E. Smith whom she said was buried at Mumma Cemetery. Death date Aug 20 1863 age 23y 5m 29d.She went on to record that Mary was the wife of Thomas Smith.

Born in 1835. (For info, my records indicate birth on March 22, 1835, which would mean she was 28 years, 4 months, 29 days old at death instead of the 28 years, 5 months, 29 days apparently shown on her headstone. Can't say for sure whether the date or the age is correct, but can say she was born in 1835.)

Seventh and youngest child of John and Mary Mumma. Married Thomas E. Smith on October 14, 1862; parents of Frank Smith.
