Henry C Headlee was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, April 1 1838, and died Los Angeles, Cal., November 14, 1913, aged 75 years, 8 months, and 13 days.
Five sons and one daughter survive him, as follows L D Headlee of Ferguson MO; S L Headlee of Fresno CA; W R Headlee of Kansas City MO; O K Headlee and Frank Headlee of Los Angeles CA and Mrs Maggie Francis of Pittsburg KS.
Mr Headlee was a member of the M E church, and belonged at one time to the church in Chetopa. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge in the state of Iowa, joining there in 1874.
His death was the result of kidney trouble and heart disease. The evening he passed away he had retired to rest and fallen asleep, and died without awakening.
The remains were brought to this city, and funeral services were conducted by Rev O K Hobson at the grave in Oak Hill cemetery at 2 pm Thursday.

On 22 July 1894 in Labette Co KS, Henry C Headlee married Julia Kinikin
They were living 1900 Marlow Chickasaw Nation Indian Territory.
