She received an associates degree in Science, with a certification as a Laboratory Technician which she did for a few years, until she decided to go back to school and get her license as a Practical Nurse. She worked at several places to include Nellis AFB, UMC, and finally the VA which she worked at until she resigned due to her illness with ALS which was diagnosed in 2018.
Even while facing a disease with no cure, she remained positive and was always smiling. She made several videos on YouTube which she used to educate people about her journey with ALS. Addie loved her children and many of them considered her their best friend. We will miss the arguments over who was the fastest runner, which always ended in a race that she lost, and her wisdom when facing difficult times.
Her judgment was sound and reliable, and we learned to trust her because she was frequently right about many things. She enjoyed board games, and studying the Bible. She spent several years as a bible worker and loved to see people brought to the knowledge of Jesus as their savior. Addie would not tell you that she was going to do something, and not do it. She would either say no to the request, or give 100%. She remained convinced of her healing, until the end, but God had another plan. She was healed. Healed from her pain in this life, and on to live eternally. She was loved tremendously and will be missed greatly.
