William L. Dayton Burcham, 78, resident of Lincoln for 55 years and employe of the H. P. Lau company for 40 years, died Tuesday at his home, 2430 So. 13th. A native of Indiana, he was married at Belleville in that state, Jan. 30, 1879. He and Mrs. Burcham celebrated their golden wedding anniversary here six years ago. They came to Nebraska in 1883 and to Lincoln two years later. They had four children, of whom a son, Guy H., is the only survivor. They have been making their home with him. Claude Burcham, clerk of the district court, is a cousin.

Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Hagensick of Lincoln and Mrs. Ella Herrick of Omaha; four grandchildren, Fritz Nelson of Omaha, and Mary Ellen, Barbara and Arthur Burcham of Lincoln; great-grandson, Jack Nelson of Omaha.

Funerals services will be held at 1:30 Thursday at Hodgman's, Rev. H. H. Marsden officiating. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park.
