Born and raised in the Fruit Belt until the age of nine, he met his lifelong friend, Kenneth Bandelian when his family moved to the Kensington section of Buffalo.
He was the son of Vincent and Evelyn (Schmidt) Fredricks. He is survived by his wife Sylvia (Viverito) Fredricks, his daughter Wendy Fredricks, his sister Patricia (Robert) Mitchell, and sister-in-law, Margaret Fredricks (late brother, Roger); grandchildren, Caroline and Connor Schutte, along with nieces, nephews and many friends.
As he was known to many, "Freddy's" philosophy was simple--family first, work at cultivating your relationship, be loyal to those you love, be educated and always be positive.
The family would like to thank family and friends for the overwhelming outpouring of support. If you would like to remember Freddy, consider making a donation to the charity of your choice or do something kind for a friend or someone in your community.
