He and his wife were in Cheltenham by 1939, and he got a fine in Cheltenham in 1940 for not complying with the blackout regulations. Yet he was registered in Colwyn Bay in 1942 despite being retired according to the 1939 Register. On his death he still resided at 50 Cambray Court, Cheltenham.
Died at the Bayshill nursing home Royal Parade Cheltenham.
