Mrs. Withers died Wednesday at a Manhattan hospital.
She was the housemother at Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority at Kansas State University.
She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Rushville, Mo. She attended school in Atchison and was graduated from Atchison High School. She later moved to Kansas City, Kan.
She moved to Manhattan in 1968 and was a housemother at Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity at Kansas State for three years. In 1971, she moved to Lawrence where she was housemother at Sigma Kappa sorority at Kansas University from 1971 to 1977. She then was housemother at Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Kansas University from 1978 to 1988.
Mrs. Withers was a past national officer in Navy Mothers Assn. She attended First United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
Survivors include a son, T. Patrick Connor, Mahwah, N.J.; a daughter, Pamala Foresman, Lenexa; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
