Angie married Victor Tennessen on November 23rd, 1943 and made their home and raised their family on the farm until 1985 when they moved to town. In 2016 she moved to the Hilltop Residence and most recently Madison Healthcare Center.
She raised a large garden and canned the abundant produce. She was a talented seamstress, sewed most of her children's clothing and designed and sewed flowergirl dresses. Angie was a longtime member of the “Mix and Fix” homemakers club, belonged to several card clubs and was active as a 4H leader. She loved to quilt, and made quilts for her children, grandchildren & church missions. Crocheting was another favorite hobby.
After her career as a mother and homemaker ,Angie worked at the Madison Hospital and then Dawson Hospital. While working she attended college and began her position as dietary supervisor which she held until retirement.
Angie is survived by her six children; Sharon Gage of O'Fallon, IL; Gary (Barbara), San Ramon, CA; Ginny (Dan) Lundeen, Burnsville, MN; Jon (Maggie), Lino Lakes, MN; Nancy, Minneapolis, MN; Kristi (Todd) Kuechenmeister, Madison, MN; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Angie was preceded in death by her husband Victor, parents Ben & Elizabeth Vonderharr, son-in-law Bob Gage, brothers Albert, Fred, Bill, Joe, Ray, Emil, George and Leo. Sisters Susan, Martha, Armella and Theresa.
