Ihley (maiden name Borland) resident of Yorktown County of York, VA aged 27 took oath to make the following declaration as guardian of the minor child of William H. Burright and that she is the guardian of Wade Burright and that the mother of the child as aforesaid is guardian of said child and that the date of birth of her said ward is as follows 10 January, 1868. She further declares that the parents of her said ward were married at Gloucester County, Virginia on the 8th April 1864 by Farias Scott Chaplain of the 148TH Reg NY Infty.

A cannon ball hit a rail fence and a piece of rail impaled William injuring him and was then captured by the Confederates.
A POW on 29 January 1864 at Reams' Station, VA
Confined on 02 February 1864 at Andersonville, GA(survived)
Returned on 15 December 1864
Promoted to Full Sergeant on 01 July 1865
