Albert is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Robin Franz; cherished children, Laura Franz and Christopher Franz (Lindsey); adored grandson, Matthew Franz; beloved siblings, Karen Henciak, Mimi Franz, Judith (Michael) McCaffrey, Robert (Sheri) Franz, Patricia Franz, Jeanne Franz, and Kevin Franz; two cherished pets, Maggie and Max, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Doris “Midge” Franz; and brothers, Clifford (Shirley) and James Franz.
Albert was a beloved husband, devoted father, grandfather and loyal brother. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson and was quite the movie and television enthusiast. He was a passionate Pittsburgh Sports fan and enjoyed conversations about current events.
Among his friends and family, he brought much joy and laughter with his bizarre sense of humor and jokester personality. He always made himself available to lend a helping hand and will be sorely missed.
Services are private and have been entrusted to the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association-Pittsburgh in Albert's memory.
