John "White Cap" L. Woodrum, age 100, of Williamsville, IL., passed away on June 19, 2017 at Villa Health Care East in Sherman, IL.

John is survived by his daughter, Karen Henderson of Morton; and four great-grandchildren; Chelsey of Omaha, NE, Brady of Colchester, Jordan of Omaha, NE, and Rachel of Morton.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife EllaMay; sister Dorothy Vaughan.

John was born on May 22, 1917 in Latham, IL. the son of Grover and Hilda (Waddell) Woodrum.

John married EllaMay Ramlow on January 1, 1939 in Lincoln, IL.

John farmed his entire life in the Cornland/Williamsville area. He also drove for Mid-America for 10 years.
John attended Latham High School where he later graduated in 1935.

He was a member of the Riverton Lavey Masonic Lodge #786, and Springfield Shrine.

John had a passion for Lionel trains, he was an avid bowler, enjoyed his many trips to Alaska, being with family and friends, and gardening.

Visitation will be held at Williamsville United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 9:00 until time of Masonic Services at 10:45 AM. Funeral services for John will be held at 11:00 AM also at Williamsville United Methodist Church. Rev. Dick Piscateelli will be officiating.

Burial will be held at Two Mile Grove Cemetery in Latham, IL.

Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and Williamsville United Methodist Church
