OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Wednesday, 21 December 1977:

Ernest Neunan Dobbs, 66, of Bullard and formerly of Elkhart, died early Tuesday morning in Rusk.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Bailey Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Conner and Darwin Munsinger officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Munsinger, Frankie Munsinger, Albert Munsinger, Andy Munsinger, Jimmy Dobbs, Loyd Webb and Earl Germany.

Mrs. Dobbs was born in Kaufman County. He was a son of W. W. and Maggie Moss Dobbs. He was a retired waterpump serviceman and lived in Elkhart for over 20 years before moving to Bullard five years ago. He was a Baptist.

A son, Ernest Clarence Dobbs, died Feb. 15, 1974.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Alice Munsinger Dobbs of Bullard; a son, Gary Dobbs of Bullard; two daughters, Mrs. Kay Dobbs of Bullard and Mrs. Linda Carroll Dobbs Ceapps; five grandchildren, Gary B. Dobbs, Bobby Dobbs and Mondale Dobbs of Bullard and Buddy Dobbs and Angela Dobbs of San Antonio; six brother, Walter Ray Dobbs of Cantor; Harold Dobbs of Dayton; Bryce Dobbs of Lake Texoma; Leslie Dobbs of Lucerne, Calif.; Bowdon Dobbs of Dayton and Nonie Dobbs of Albuquerque, N. Mex.; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Webb of Kaufman, Mrs Lois Dean of Waco and Mrs. Louise Fauts of Dayton.
