A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Harvey Lee Green Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Ward Green.
Attended New Hope Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist Church, a former employee with Cryovac and former construction worker; loved hunting, fishing, dogs, chickens, and western movies.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Leatherwood Green; daughters, Donna Redner and Madelyn Denise Green; son, David Green; sisters, Mary Ann Wood and Barbara Seay; brothers, Alvin Ray Greene, William "Bill" Greene, and Jerry Greene; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Also predeceased by a brother, Harvey Lee Greene (1939–2015).
Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 pm, Monday, March 25, 2019, at Lanford-Gwinn Mortuary Chapel by Rev. Danny Monroe and Rev. Phil Cook.
Visitation was held from 1:00-2:45 pm prior to the service.
