HICKS - Mrs Hester Hicks, 99, of Lawtey, died Aug 19th at Shands at Starke. The Maxville native & homemaker moved to Lawtey in 1949. She is survived by her daughters, Helen Shuford of Lawtey & Betty Wolfe of Cape Coral; daughters-in-law, June Hicks of Oaklawn, Ill. & Hazel Hicks of Luther, Mich; 1 loving sister, Marion Hall of Deland; 13 grandchildren; many great & great-great grandchildren; & many loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be from 7-9 PM Aug 22nd, at Jones Funeral Home, with Funeral Services, Aug 23rd, at 11:00 AM at Long Branch Baptist Church, Clay Co. with Rev James Cowart. Burial will follow in Long Branch Cemetery. Jones Funeral Home, Starke is in charge of arrangements.
