Family will receive friends Monday, 6 PM to 8 PM at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of life services will be Tuesday, July 17, 10 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Taylor, Pastor David Tietz, officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
Flora Wilson was born October 24, 1907 to Gustav and Anna (Wolf) Thonig, in Coupland. She attended the Mager school in Coupland. Flora married Louie Wilson, December 14, 1940 in Taylor and was a homemaker. Together they lived in Taylor until moving to Round Rock where they lived for 30 years, moving back to Taylor in 1993. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death are her husband, Louie Wilson; a son, Kenneth Wilson; and brothers, Willie, Rueben, Arno, Leopold, Gustav, Grover and Otto.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Lisette Wilson and husband, Jim Alston of Austin and Michelle Naivar and husband, Craig of Huntsville; daughter-in-law, Carol Wilson of Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Charles Thonig, Johnny Thonig, Mark Hannan and Leon Randolph; grandsons-in-law, Jim Alston and Craig Naivar. Eric Anderson is honored as honorary pallbearer.
Arrangements are entrusted to Providence Funeral Home.
