"Leon A. Bernier, 71, of 4 Sanborn St. Exeter, died May 8 at the Exeter Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Tupper Lake, N.Y., he had lived in Exeter most of his life.
Mr. Bernier was a retired sign painter and Amesbury, Mass. shoeworker.
He was a communicant of St. Michael church.
Members of the family include his wife, Mrs. Rita(Brown) Bernier; a daughter Mrs. Marilyn A. Schultz, Stratham; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 10 at St. Michael Church in Exeter. Burial was in Exeter Cemetery.
