Shuffield
CAMERON – Funeral services for Blanche Beard Shuffield, 88, of Pineland, formerly of Cameron, were held Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Tim Cheatham officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Retreat Cemetery in Thorndale. She died Saturday in a San Augustine hospital.
Mrs. Shuffield was born May 12, 1913 in Milam County to John and Betty Greathouse Beard. She was a former member of Little River Baptist Church, a member of Battetown Baptist Church and a charter member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2010.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Coy Shuffield, one daughter and four brothers.
Surviving are: Three daughters, Wilma Dean Caudle of Pineland, Lillie Belle Cameron of Spring and Murdice Dukes of San Angelo; two brothers, T. A. Beard of Thorndale and Wesley Beard of Livingston; three sisters, Ruth Coe of Chandler, Rosa Mae Carribau and Mary Ella Krueger of Taylor; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
