James Duane Adams "Jim D Adams" 59, of Vernal passed away peacefully at his home, May 9, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born May 29, 1960, in Vernal to James R. and Margaret Bird Adams.
He loved the outdoors. He loved to tie his own flies and go fishing in the many lakes and river around the Vernal area.
Jim loved spending time camping and riding four wheelers with his boys. He also enjoyed tinkering on things and welding, and watching NASCAR races.
Jim worked in the Oilfield for many years enjoyed running Heavy Equipment and Welding. He was well liked by his coworkers and others. Jim always had a smile and was willing to help.
Jim is survived by his three sons: Branden Duane Adams, Brian Lynn Adams, and Kaden James Adams; sisters, Rose Ann (Val) Smuin, Betty Jean Stephenson, Lorraine McDonald; nephews Chad Smuin, Jerame Adams, Michael McDonald, Derick McDonald; nieces, Brandie Smuin and Felecia Foreman.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, David Jefferson and Lula (Truillo), Adams and Lyndon: and Alta May (Schmidt, Waters) Bird.
Parents: James R. and Margaret Ann Bird Adams, two nephews Orval Lloyd Smuin and Jason Rangel McDonald and brother-in-law, Terry William Stephenson.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Lapoint Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to the care of Blackburn & Sons Vernal Mortuary.
