Mother of John W. Moore of 1603 Linton Ave., Eureka, Rick Moore of Eureka, and Mrs. Ruth Green of Fairfax. Sister of Walter Sweet of Arcata, and Mrs. Ethel Parkerson of Santa Rosa. Grandmother of Leah Ellen Rugh Moore, Richard Moore Jr., Laurie Eileen Renee Moore, all of Eureka, and Richard Rodrick Green of Fairfax. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of Eureka. Age 55. She lived her entire life in Humboldt County where she attended local schools. A graduate of Arcata High School and Humboldt State College with the Class of 1935. She recently completed her education, receiving her Master Degree. She was a primary school teacher for Eureka Public Schools for over 30 years. She was the daughter of the late Walter B. and Alma S. Sweet, a pioneer Humboldt County family. She was a member of the Eureka First Presbyterian Church, past matron of the Camelia Chapter of Eastern Star, and the Delta Kappa Gamma.
Services will be held at the Eureka First Presbyterian Church Tuesday, March 31, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. James M. Brown officiating. Services under the auspices of the Camelia Chapter Eastern Star. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dr. Herbert L. Moore, Francis L. Moore, Otto Dick, ils Ericson, Howard Carlson and Earl Hemenway. Services are under the directions of the Chapel of the Ferns, Cooper Mortuary.
