Resident of of Bear and previously of Newark, Wilmington and Lewes, DE. He graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, DE and retired from the State of Delaware. He served in the U.S. Navy on board the USS Sanborn during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his his parents, James and Madeline Bailey (Shockley); wife of 47 years, Shirley M Bailey; brother, Donald R Bailey; and sister, Elizabeth A Davis. Surviving are his two daughters, Lisa Bailey and her longtime companion, Miguel Alvarez, and Brenda Treible and her husband, Jeffrey - both of Bear; and grandchildren Tyler, Kara, Kylie, and Madelyn.
