Ronald Woodrow Birchfield, age 72, of Vinton, OH., passed from this life May 21, 2019. Ronald was born to the late Woodrow Birchfield and Cleo Justice Birchfield in Pikeville, KY., May 14, 1947.
Besides his father, Ronald it preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Faye “Thacker” Birchfield.
Ronald is survived by his mother, Cleo Birchfield of Vinton, OH.; one son, Jamie Birchfield and his wife, Jackie of Middleport, OH.; one daughter, Rhonda King and her husband, Danny of New York; four granddaughters, Joeli Faye, Josie Colleen, Jayci Marie and Jayli “Rose” Birchfield; one brother, Ricky Birchfield of Cynthiana, KY,; a host of loving friends and family.
Ronald served our nation proudly in the United States Army. He went on to be an advid member of his local DAV chapter. Ronald was a proud Veteran, pa-paw, son, and father. He will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family will accept friends, Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, May 24, 2019, at 12:00 PM with entombment following at the JU Thacker Mausoleum at Annie E. Young Cemetery in Pikeville, KY. Donnie Hall will officiate all services for Ronald and all services will be held at Thacker Memorial Funeral Home in Pikeville, KY.
