Dortha Lee Albritton, 87, of Greenwood, Arkansas, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2020, in North Richland Hills, Texas. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Jeptha and Mabel Hughart. Dortha loved her Jesus, her family and music. From a young age she sang with her twin sister, Doris and played the piano for church events. The Bible was her most important treasure and she used its wisdom daily. Dortha met her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Billy Gene Albritton, at Northside Assembly of God, Fort Worth, Texas in 1952. They dated one month preceding their marriage on November 29, 1952. Dortha played piano and sang the harmony part as they traveled in evangelistic ministry. She loved Southern Gospel music and attended as many concerts as possible. She extended love to all who needed an extra love-pat, hug or encouraging word. Dortha was survived by her daughter, Barbie Harris and husband Ken Harris and grandsons, Patrick and Zachary Harris, all of Haltom City, Texas; sisters, Norma Gonzales of Barling, Arkansas and Jo Hughes of Barling, Arkansas; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Albritton; her parents, Jeptha and Mabel Hughart; her sisters, Irene Dixon, Ilene Christian, and Doris Morgan; her nephew, Jerry Don Bauer. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, 11 May, at the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, Keller, Texas. Interment followed at the National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
