"Mr. Eliphalet Atkins ... while engaged at work last Thursday morning, his team became startled and in his endeavors to stop them was thrown upon the fence in such a manner as to render him instantly helpless. Some men engaged at work near by, went immediately to his aid and conveyed him to his home. He died at 2 o'clock on Friday morning.
