Eli was the son of John Love and Nancy Ann Murphy Boldon. He is the grandson of Old Sam T and Margaret Love Boldon. His military records are recorded under the name Baldwin. Eli married Nancy Cynthia Sherman 20 Apr 1870. After her death he married Jane Day Sheran, 16 May 1889 in Monroe County, WI.

This is Eli Boldon's second family with his second wife Jane. Jane is the woman on the left. Josephine is the girl in the middle. Eli is the man on the right. James Albert is the boy in Eli's lap. The boy standing is possibly John (back of photo was difficult to read).
