Bernice Warren, 87, of Rucker, Texas went home to meet her Lord and Savior January 15, 2021. She was born January 8, 1934, in Gorman, Texas to Dois Lafette Mull and Vera Nellie Culbertson Mull.
Bernice married her loving and devoted husband, Gerald (Shorty) Warren, March 14, 1958 in Dallas, Texas.

Bernice was raised in the Suez community in Comanche County and graduated from Beattie High School. She and Shorty lived in Ft. Worth for several years until moving to Rockwall where they raised their young family. They later returned to De Leon and finally settled at their farm in Rucker. Bernice was very active even up to her final days. She always grew a huge and bountiful garden. Bernice was a wonderful cook and made the best desserts. She loved yardwork and being outdoors. She was a talented seamstress and made or altered almost all of her and Shorty’s clothing. Shorty and Bernice were long time members of Northside Baptist Church and also attended St. Joe Baptist Church. Bernice was small but mighty! She had a contagious laugh and was a joy to so many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Kristy Sturdivant; great-grandson, Dylan Sturdivant; cousins, Wayland Mull and Leta Mull; niece, Dois Kay; other extended family; and many dear friends. Bernice has been reunited with her husband, Shorty; son, Billy Gerald Sturdivant; grandson, Jeromy Shane Sturdivant; sister, Nellie Joyce Wood; and niece, Pam Kitchen.
