Baptized Mary Flintham, her family left Maryland and moved to Philadelphia. She was educated at the Academy of the Sisters of Mercy in Philadelphia. As she was about to graduate she entered the order as a postulate. She began her novitiate on Nov. 22, 1898 and received her habit and white veil. Originally interred at the Mount St. Agnes Convent cemetery, when the property was sold to USF&G in 1982 all burials were reinterred at Woodlawn Cemetery.
