Alvin R. Booth Sr., 70, of Olive Township, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at his home. He was a member of the Bauer Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a machinist in the area for numerous years. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Booth, in 1954. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathleen; children, Alvin Booth Jr. of Grand Rapids, Leonard and Susan Booth of Fort Wayne, Ind., Janice Jagars of Otsego, Allan Booth of Grand Haven, Mary and Billy Parmelee of Moore, Okla., Stuart Booth of Holland, and Sally James of Michigan; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Junior and Dorothy Booth of Redmond, Ore.; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Mary Parks of Jupiter, Fla., Gwen Hayes of Durand, and Glenn and Lela Goulding of Fort Meyers, Fla.; nephews and nieces. Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa Shores Humane Society or the Kidney Foundation of West Michigan. Arrangements are by Lakeshore Memorial Services.
