Loyed Ellsworth Singleton, 81, passed away April 23, 2020 at the Lucas County Health Center in Chariton. Loyed was born in Des Moines on June 27, 1938 to Roy and Fern Singleton. He graduated from Cambria High School.

He was Co-owner of G&L DX, then bought his own station Loyed's FS, and retired from being a mechanic when things started to get more computerized. Loyed then worked at Johnson Machine works. After retiring he enjoyed driving vehicles for Chariton Ford.

Loyed was married to Dixie Bottorff October 14, 1998. They enjoyed each other's company and enjoyed working in their yard and seeing their family. Dixie passed away in September of 2019, this was a great loss to Loyed, and we find comfort in knowing that he is with Dixie again.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Dixie; parents: Roy and Fern; infant son, Rodney Singleton; and siblings: Bob, Roy Jr. and Burnetta. He will be greatly missed by his daughter: Robin Webb and granddaughter Cassie; sister, Julia (Skip) Spoon; granddaughter, Nikki Hermann and family; and many nieces, nephews, step children, step grandchildren, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
