Lucy was the daughter of Benjamin and Lucy (Clark) Oates of Sheffield, England.
She immigrated in 14 Oct 1895 on the ship "Etruria" and settled in Newark, New
Jersey, where she married Harry Hoyle in 1898. They had 4 children:
