He was born Dec. 23, 1895 at St. Bridget's in the Town of Wayne in Washington County, a son of Philip and Anna Vogel Volm. He married Frances Kohler at St. Kilian Catholic Church at St. Kilian on June 16, 1925.
After the marriage they bought the Kohler homestead near ST. Kilian which they farmed for many years until moving to the present home in 1959 for retirement.
Mr. Volm was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum, Holy Name Society and Apostolate of Suffering. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of World War Barracks 2617.
Surviving are his widow; two brothers, Philip J. of Route 3, Campbellsport, and Aloysius of Route 2, Kewaskum; and a sister, Miss Amalia Volm of West Bend. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Miller's Funeral Home, Kewaskum, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kewaskum. The Rev. John T. Budde will officiate. Robert G. Romaine Post 384, American Legion of Kewaskum, will conduct graveside military rites at ST. Kilian Cemetery at St. Kilian.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
