NICKERSON - Helen Frances Slifer, 94, died Oct. 2, 1995, at Friendship Mannor, South Hutchinson.

She was born Aug. 1, 1901, at Partridge, the daughter of Henry ans IDA McGurn Graves. A Nickerson resident since 1957, formerly of California, she was a retired schoolteacher who taught for many years in Reno County Schools.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Nickerson and Delta Kappa Gamma Society.

In 1941, she married Vernon Aldrich. He died in 1954. On Aug. 2, 1955, she married Charles Slifer at Hutchinson. He died Feb. 2, 1994.

Survivors include; a stepson, Loren Slifer, Grass Valley, Calif.; and a nephew, Richard Graves, Long Beach, Calif.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Partridge Cemetery, with Paster Ted Chrystie presiding. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Lamb Funeral Home, Nickerson.
