He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maxine Harris; and one brother, F.E. "Mutt" Farrier.
He married Allene Vandever in October 1946. She preceded him in death. To this union were born two daughters. He later married Trula White. She preceded him in death. He married Arvilla Long in October 1992. She survives, of the home.
Lisle graduated from Miami High School and attended NEO A&M College, where he took business courses. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He served as a medic.
Lisle was a prominent businessman and rancher. Lisle and his brother, "Mutt," owned and operated Farrier's IGA Thriftway in Miami and opened Farrier's Family Discount Center in Grove, Okla. He enjoyed raising Limousin cattle. He loved hands-on work out on his ranch. He was a member of the Limousin Cattle Association since the 1970s.
Lisle is survived by his wife, Arvilla Farrier, of the home; two daughters, Lynn Farrier, of Miami, and Jan Kimbrough and husband, Jim, of Joplin, Mo.; a stepson, David Long and wife, Alice, of Hazelton, Idaho; a stepdaughter, Judy Wyrsch and husband, Jerry, of Darrington, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Mae Farrier, of Miami; five granddaughters, Lori Gallagher and husband, Bill, of Denver, Colo., Carrie Frazier and husband, Travis, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jennifer Coulter and husband, Casey, of Joplin, Julie Smith and husband, Greg, of Miami, and Jill Kimbrough, of Dallas, Texas; a stepgrandson, Tony White, of Miami; a stepgranddaughter, Lisa Longanberger, of Miami; two stepgranddaughters, Amy Wyrsch and Kali Young, both of Miami; three stepgrandsons, Jeremiah Johnson and wife, Tara, of Wenatchee, Wash., Ryan Young, of Sheridan, Ore., and Brody Young, of Miami; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Lisle's favorite thing to do was teach the men's Bible class at the Baptist Regional Hospital, where he shared Jesus for 15 years with men of many denominations. Many people are successful because of the work etiquette Lisle taught them. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at 1st and A S.W. in Miami with Rev. David Long and Pastor Terry Wright officiating. Burial will follow at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Pallbearers will be Greg Smith, Casey Coulter, Brody Young, Dave Clark, Shawn McGee and Jim Wyrsch. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
