She grew up in Jackson County, WV. She moved to Parkersburg where she worked many jobs while raising her family. Driving truck was one of those jobs. She drove team with her husband for a while before retirement. She enjoyed camping, fishing, scrapbooking, crafts and woodworking.She enjoyed spending time with her family including her dogs, goat and horse. Many animals found a loving home in her care.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Doris Mae Angus, a brother, Ayward Angus and sister, Ellen Wagoner.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gary N. Bell. She is also survived by her children, David Grimm (Tara), Bobbie Jo Batten (Randy), Crystal Hicks (Allen), stepsons (who she loved as her own) Darwin Todd Bell (Davina), Jeff Bell (Sherry), grandchildren, Dustin Bell, Tori Bell, David “Davey” Batten, Alyssa Batten, Kyra Batten, and Jaya Bell, great grandchildren, Ivy and Addy Bell and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to Amedysis Hospice for helping us in our time of need and Leavitt Funeral Home for assisting with arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
