Susan E. Lentz departed this life Sept. 30, 2009, and entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Marian and Raymond Lentz.

She is survived in her immediate family by two sisters, Anne (Fred) Ruymann of Columbus, Ohio, and Ellen (Carl) Jensen of Las Vegas. She will be missed greatly by them, along with three nephews and a niece and their families; and her many friends.

Susan was born April 24, 1944, in Norristown, Pa., and moved to Las Vegas with her family in 1953. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the P.E.O. Sisterhood and First Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir, served on the Board of Deacons and volunteered in numerous ministries of the church.

A memorial service for Susan Lentz will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, with a reception to follow, both at First Presbyterian Church, 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102. Contributions in Susan's name may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Las Vegas or to the American Cancer Society, 6165 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite 12, Las Vegas, NV 89118, for breast cancer research.Susan was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She was my first cousin, and was devoted to her mother and father, her sisters, and her church. She was married for a time. Like her mother, she was a good cook, and was one of those rare people who kept up with everyone in the family, mainly through her sweet and informative letters. I miss those letters, and I miss you Susan. Love, Bill

Her remains were cremated. There is a memorial plaque at the cemetery, however the urn was given to her sister Ellen Jentzen.
