Samuel James Estright was born in Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania on April 1, 1854, to A-4, Samuel and Elizabeth Slagle Estright. Samuel married Catherine Regina Fife on August 20, 1875, in Altoona. Nancy, as her family and friends called her, was born in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania on June 13, 1856, to John and Hannah Fife. Samuel worked for the Altoona Roundhouse as a machinist and retired on January 1, 1906, after 48 years. Nancy died of cancer on August 20, 1903, at the age of 47. She was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania in the Fife family plot, under the surname Ebright, instead of Estright. Samuel was living with his daughter, B-31, Emma Estright McClowery, when he died on December 8, 1934. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Altoona. Samuel and Nancy had five children.
