Mrs. Frances M. Fairchild, living in Osborne county, died Monday, April 9, at 7 o'clock p.m . at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Earl William. Mrs Fairchild was born in Connecticut April 6, 1827, being 73 years and 3 days of age at the time of her death. She was the mother of ten children. Her husband and four children preceded her to the better land. She leaves six children and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She united with the United Brethren church in 1859 and was a faithful member for several years. In 1884 she united with the Christian church, in which she remained a faithful member until her death. Her maiden name was Steel. Funeral services were held at the house April 10 at 1 o'clock p.m., conducted by Rev. G . J. Wolters. She was laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery by the side of her husband, who preceded her two months ago to the better land.
