"Exeter-John J. Poggio, 67, 10 Strout Trailer Pk.,died Feb. 13 at his home following a brief illness.
Born in Exeter, July 14, 1911, the son of Dominic and Maria(Pirola)Poggio, he was the former co-owner of Poggio's Store, Front St., retiring in 1978.
Mr. Poggio was a Navy veteran of WWII and a retired captain call man of the Exeter Fire Department. He was a member of the Pingree Chatigny Post, American Legion, of the Exeter Senior Citizens, and of the Exeter Hospital Corporation.
His family includes one son, John Peter, Exeter; and one brother, Antonio, East Kingston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held tomorrow, Feb.15, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, followed by burial in Exeter Cemetery.
