Helen M. Tebbe, 95, of Breese, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O'Fallon. She was born December 19, 1924 in Breese, the daughter of Frank and Mame, nee Wehlage, Benhoff. She married Otto H. Tebbe April 29, 1942, in Breese, and he preceded her in death February 23, 1975.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosemarie (Stanley) Heimann of Albers, IL; three grandchildren, Karen (Fred) Santel, Michael (Karen) Wobbe, and Steven (Jenifer) Heimann; six great-grandchildren, Logan Santel, Doran, Tanner, Tristan, and Carter Wobbe, and Gretchen Heimann; two sisters-in-law, Corrine Benhoff of Kenosha, WI, and Marge Benhoff of St. Louis, MO.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Otto W. Tebbe; a granddaughter, Kimberly Heimann; four siblings, Wilbert (Sally), Leander, Mary Louise (Louis) Larosa, and Alfred "Hans" Benhoff; and numerous Tebbe brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Mrs. Tebbe was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish and Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed quilting and playing euchre.
A private burial was held at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Memorials will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 150 N. Clinton, Breese, IL 62230 who is serving the family.
