Mr. Eugene Anderson, 88, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Mr. Anderson was born May 10, 1931, in Gilmer County, the son of the late Fonnie and Bertha Fowler Anderson. He was a graduate of Ellijay High School Class of 1949 and a farmer. He was also a member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church, having been ordained in 1966 and was a member of the Oak Bowery Lodge # 81 F&AM for 50 years.
He is preceded in death by parents and son Wayne Anderson.
Survivors are his wife of 70 years and 11 months, Johnnie Faye Pettit Anderson, son-and daughter-in-law; Wallace and Gail Anderson, Ellijay, grandchildren and spouses, Richard and Justine Anderson, Snellville, Latitia and Tom Santosky, great-grandchildren; Archer and Corbin Anderson.
Due the COVID-19 pandemic, for the protection of friends and family, they chosen to have a private graveside service at Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery fund at 117 River Ln, Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mr. Anderson.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
